Staying at the  Hermitage Inn takes you back to the

origins of Texas. Nestled among pecan trees and surrounded

by a ranch with cattle and horses, the Hermitage is built as

Southern style Plantation mansion.

You will enjoy your candlelight dinner with

authentic silver ware,

and all this in a léger family style atmosphere

Additionally you can combine a culinary event with a historical sight seeing tour, all close by:

West Columbia served as the Republic ‘s first capitol in 1836.

The Brazoria County Historical Museum, as well as,

the Varner-Hogg Plantation Museum, George Ranch Historical Park, and Brazos Bend State Park are just a few of the attractions that help understand & appreciate the rich history surrounding this corner.

Also you find a golf course at the close by Columbia Lake.

You will be cooking and watching Rudi

in an easy going atmosphere, where he

will show you with great enjoyment secrets

and tricks of a pro.

After completing the "Cooking Class"

you will be able to surprise your friends

or family at home with culinary highlights.

And Rudi will explain our Heritage Cooking in connection

with Texas and Texas Hospitality.

This event is ideal for 3 couples, who will be staying

2 nights in our beautiful suites in an unique country setting.

The Cooking Class

consists of the following:

Friday late afternoon arrival.

Starting at app. 7:30 PM we serve an aperitif in the grand  salon of the plantation. Experience a dinner  around the Chuck Wagon, cooked in the Dutch oven on the open fire.

Saturday:

In the morning after breakfast (at 9 AM),

the cooking class

starts at 10 AM ,

interrupted by a

light lunch at 1 PM,

tea time between 3 and 4 PM  with assortment of

teas, coffee and desserts.

at 7 PM a 3 course dinner will be served, prepared during the day.

A wine tasting along side dinner can be arranged.

Sunday:

A “Heritage” Brunch will end the event.

The total price for this event is $ 200,00 per person plus tax,

2 persons staying in one suite with queen side beds and jacuzzi,

payable with your reservation.

All alcoholic beverages are provided by you.
