Review 2007: “Loyalists” love this “fun” Deutsch treat in Southwest Houston, where they can go “back to the old country“ via “authentic”, “tasty” German-Austrian “classics” and an “excellent selection” of beers as they sing along to live “oompah music” (especially during Oktoberfest); chef-owner Rudi is “the nicest” and his prices are “reasonable”:
CRAIG H. HARTLEY: SPECIAL TO THE CHRONICLE
There's an art to making good Wiener schnitzel, and chef Rudi Lechner has mastered it.

A quote from the HOUSTON MEMORIAL SUN in 2005:
“When a place stays in business for 29 years in a competitive environment like Houston,
it must be pretty good. Rudi Lechner’s is an exception to that. …it’s real good.
If you like German food, the conversation starts and ends here.”
